This is the long awaited UFC fight that fans are waiting for, the battle of the champions between UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St-Pierre and Strikeforce Welterweight Champion Nick Diaz in the UFC 143: St-Pierre vs Diaz. UFC President Dana White announced the news that the St-Pierre vs Diaz fight will be on February 4, 2011 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.

The pay-per-view headliner welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre (22-2 MMA, 16-2 UFC) will defend his title against the Strikeforce Welterweight Champion Nick Diaz (25-7 MMA, 6-4 UFC). Diaz will vacate his strikeforce belt as part of the move to UFC. Georges St-Pierre’s title will be on the line in the St-Pierre vs Diaz fight. Nick Diaz will fight for the first time in the octagon against St-Pierre.
